The Deer Valley nightlife is rather quiet and many folks choose to hole up in their condos at night time or have a quiet drink at their hotel bar.

Deer Valley Restaurants

There aren’t a large number of Deer Valley restaurants, and these are largely located within the hotels and lodges. With Deer Valley restaurants, it’s about quality not quantity.

One of the premier restaurants of Deer Valley is Mariposa, located in the Silver Lake Lodge. Elegant, with gourmet cuisine and fine wines, it is a favorite amongst Deer Valley regulars.

The nearby Royal Street Café has great, reasonably priced food and the décor is delightfully casual with comfortable pine booths.

Cena Restaurant in The Chateaux has Italian inspired cuisine with a romantic feel to it, whilst Glitretind at the Stein Eriksen Lodge also has fine dining for special occasions (or if you’re lucky enough to be staying there, every night is probably special!). Or Stein Eriksen Lodge also has very casual fare at the pub style Champion’s Club which has an entertainment center with the world’s largest Pac-Man game.

Down at the Snow Park Lodge is the evening Seafood Buffet (NB not open for 21/22 season due to Covid related concerns). Whilst a buffet dinner doesn’t sound too sophisticated, this is definitely no ordinary buffet with an abundance of gourmet fare on offer.

Nearby at the St Regis Hotel (via the hotel’s own funicular) you can access various dining options.

Deer Valley Bars & Nightlife

An après ski drinking culture is almost non-existent at Deer Valley. The Snow Park Lounge is only open until 6pm and does “après” but it’s very ho-hum. It’s a sit down affair, and in typical Utah style the cocktails are weak, and you have to order appetizers to get a drink. The sedate atmosphere is certainly not conducive to social mixing, although the deck during spring can be a bit of fun.

The Royal Street Café at Silver Lake Lodge serves beverages and appetizers in the late afternoon and early evening, but it’s still a very quiet après ski scene.

There are sophisticated bars in the Deer Valley hotels for an après ski drink or night cap. Examples include the Cena Lounge in The Chateaux on the lobby level with great views of the village and the slopes, and the Troll Hallen Lounge at the Stein Eriksen Lodge. Even though it doesn’t feel like Utah, this is Utah, so some strange liquor laws still remain. Be prepared to have to eat in order to get a drink, or at least pretend you have intent to eat (I wonder if obesity is a problem in Utah?!).

Park City Restaurants

Park City Bars

Considering that the Deer Valley nightlife is very quiet, party animals should catch the free public bus (or your hotel shuttle) to the Park City bars for a bit more excitement.

Dining Experiences
